Radiant Vista Critique 2/2

This shot was taken early one morning before the sunrise, when Susan and I were visiting Jekyll Island Georgia. I got up before the crack of dawn and battled the mosquitoes and sand fleas to get this shot. It was taken with my Canon EOS 20D and EF 50mm f/1.4 lens on a tripod.

The exposure was for 30 seconds at f/5.6. This is evident in the smoothness of the water. I enhanced the colors a bit in Photoshop using selective color and hue/saturation layers, as well as a little curves adjustment for overall contrast.

If you look closely, you’ll see the tracks in the sand left by a turtle, as it made it’s way out to the surf. I did a little burn/dodge to make it stand out. I hope you enjoy Craig’s Critique.
